ALMOND BUTTER COOKIES

For the love of butter + almond, together.

1 ½ sticks butter - softened
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour
½ tsp salt
Cream together the butter + sugar. Add in the egg and cream to combine. Add in the almond extract, flour and salt. Mix just until combined. Scoop onto a cookie tray and bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes, until the bottoms are golden. Once cool, top with frosting and sprinkles if your heart desires.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
2 TB butter
4oz cream cheese
1 tsp almond extract
1-2 TB cream (or any milk)
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
Beat everything together until it is smooth and a spreadable frosting. Add more cream if you need to.
