POUND CAKE

For the lovers in your life.

4 eggs

½ lb (2 sticks) softened butter

1 cup sugar

1 ½ cups flour 

½ cup buttermilk 

1 tsp salt

1 tb vanilla extract

½ tsp baking powder

Zest + juice of three lemons (equallying about ¼ cup of juice) 

Beat together the eggs, butter + sugar. Slowly add in the dry ingredients and finally the lemon zest and juice. Pour into a loaf pan, bake for 40-45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
